What the Course is all About:

Many Christians may view the first-century church as inspiration of how the ideal church should be.  However, do you know that Paul’s first letter to the Corinthians actually reveals a church that we would be appalled at, and would not want to be involved in? The Corinthian church was going through many troubling issues – factionalism, fighting, condoning sexual immorality, spiritual pride, abusing spiritual gifts, and disbelief in the bodily resurrection. The good news is that the Apostle Paul provided the Corinthian believers with invaluable wisdom, challenging them to examine and respond to the church issues through the lens of the Gospel.

How can Paul’s treatment of the church issues help us to navigate life and leadership today? How has the resurrection of Jesus Christ opened up an entirely new reality and paradigm, such that we can – and indeed should – respond to issues through the Gospel? This course seeks to explore and respond to these questions.
